how to add ur music to apple music

Hiii!!!! This is a short guide to explain how to add ur own music to Apple Music!!! This is accurate as of 2026/5/2

"prerequisites"

• make sure music is in AAC or ALAC format for best results (FLAC not accepted) (i use fb2k)
• Properly format the tags (i use musicbrainz)
• make sure music only has only one "Genre" tag or there will be no genre??? idkk
• youre gonna need a windows PC. i know i can try to do this on linux somehow but this is just easier

"the fun part"

1. Get the Apple music app (windows store, apple.com website, etc) & sign in
2. In the top left theres gonna be these three dots, navigate through the menus etc etc
   
   
3. Select the folder (im using UNBEATABLE as example because its awesome)
   
   
4. Enjoy!!! -- Make sure to not close the program till the little spinning bar right above your profile is done!!! And! Verify that it is synced to your other devices! Then and only then are youre free to leave! IF THE VOLUME IS BROKEN ON APPLE DEVICES TURN OFF "SOUND CHECK" IN SETTINGS. I LOVE APPLE <\3
